Clinical Counselling

PCHS provides culturally responsive confidential, one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to individual needs. Our sessions use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy which help support clients in developing coping strategies, improving mental well-being, and building resilience.

Community Pograms

Our Community Programs create safe, welcoming spaces for individuals and families to connect, learn, and heal together. We offer educational workshops, events, and activities designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma and eliminate barriers for accessing support. These are critical to building a sense of belonging and strengthening community well-being.

Youth Programs

Our Youth Programs offer a safe and confidential space where young people (ages 12 and up) can talk openly about their challenges and emotions. We help youth navigate stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and identity development, with deep respect for each person’s cultural identity and lived experience. Through engaging activities and mentorship opportunities, we encourage positive growth, confidence, and connection. Both individual and group counseling are available to support youth in building resilience and finding strength in community.

Peer Support Programs

Peer Support Volunteers (PSV) are trained volunteers who provide ongoing support to clients when formal counselling and case management goals have been addressed. PSV’s often have lived experience in common with their matched client and provide social and emotional support. This non-therapeutic extension of counselling reflects PCHS Calgary’s continuing care model and is a person-centred practice to help empower individuals and families.
